FOURTY DAYS TO BETTER HEALTH
Day (1) Relational -- Be your own person. Treat others with respect.
Financial -- Learn the value of money, Learn the waste areas.
Physical -- The body is a unity of good choices.
Mental -- My thoughts become my actions.
Spiritual -- What is my personal and my mission statement?
Educational -- What I put in will come out.
How I apply myself in choosing my time builders or time wasters will determine my results. I am my own architect.
Day two (2) -- I need to get the basic principles of the various areas of my health from the Best Author of the Best Book -- The Bible. The Bible has stood the test of time and has come from the One Who has proved Himself to me to be real and interested in me personally. I want to study the Bible and other books which lift up Bible teachings.
Day three (3) -- Steps to better communication with God, myself and others.
With God -- listening and sharing; asking and assimilating; learning and heeding.
With myself -- What self-talk do I have? Am I positive and uplifting or negative, selfish and degrading? Do I need to change? Am I willing to change? Will I listen to instructors on how to change?
With others -- Do I love, care for and respect others?
Day four (4) -- Put first things first. What are my priorities? Do I need to change my personal and/or my mission statement? Do I treat others how I want to be treated? Do I have control of my life? my thoughts? my actions? my words? my attitudes? What areas need my attention NOW? Do I need to study and learn to improve my priorities?
Day five (5) -- What is love? Behold, Christ -- In a manager, with His family, being a Carpenter, giving His food away; helping the downcast, the abused, the lonely; being baptized; becoming hungry; gaining victory; going forward in faith; trusting the plan of salvation to be worked out through Him in revealing God (JEHOVAH) to man and being hung on a cross.
Day six (6) -- Can I accept love as being the ultimate feeling of caring and giving oneself (myself) in proper service for others, even willing to die for the unworthy? Love is patient and kind, Love is getting self under the control of a renewed mind in the likeness of Jesus. Love is knowing all won't accept the road to true love, yet caring enough to share and love anyway.
Day seven (7) -- Better health is the result of the healing process administered by the breath of God in renewing our minds to thoughts after the mind of Christ. Better health is the healing of the whole, part by part. Where is the "pain"? Search for the healing. God provides and there's nothing impossible with Him. He can bring me into His thought pattern.
Day eight (8) -- Calvary is there to remind us of a love that can not live without dying to self to live for others. Forgiveness is free. Believe and guilt can be cleansed. Trust the Hands neailed to the cross. Give your hands in service to those God brings your way. They may be unkind, but you don't have to be. You can lift them to another level by your acceptance.
Day nine (9) -- We were created in God's image by His loving hands, molding and fashoning us to be like Him, breathing into our nostrils His own breath for life. We fail in Adam and in Christ we can be lifted above our original creation. We can respond to God's call on our life. We can choose to let go of our own will and way. We can choose a better way to better healing that leads to better health and eternal salvation.
Day ten (10) -- Two polarities (or opposites) -- life/death; good/bad; God/Satan; here/there; hot/cold; lost/saved; up/down; etc. There is a great controversy between God and Satan. We see this demonstrated in Christ's life and the life of every human who has ever lived on earth (or will ever live on earth). How much do I understand about my involvement and the eternal results to my every act?
Day eleven (11) -- Daily we are in the process of studying and learning to overcme our negative/natural tendencies to be bad and to learn to be good. Good is Godlike, Bad is Satanlike. Good uplifts good. Bad tears down good. It takes wisdom and love from God to work with and accomplish good in ourselves and in others. The task is worth the effort.
Day twelve (12) -- When we study to learn we need an instructor to guide us to change our thought pattern to develop new ways of thinking and doing good to accomplish positive outcomes. We have in the physical and in the spiritual the good and the bad. Bread in the physical can be good or moldy; Bread in the spiritual can be true or false. Grape juice (wine) in the physical can be pure or alcoholic. Grape juice (wine) in the spiritual can be truth or falsehood. Prophets/teachers can be true or false in the physical as well as in the spiritual. Where do I stand -- true, pure or false? We all teach others by our daily life example.
