GOD'S LOVE TO ME

I believe that God is a God of love in the purest since. He has complete control of all He does. When satan intruded in God's universe, He was not taken by surprise. He knows the end from the beginning and He took measures to meet this intruder in love, patience, grace -- using the utmost wisdom for He is omniscience -- All wise, all knowing. He created His beings with freedom of choice. "I love you, please choose to love Me in return. I created you, you are Mine, please choose to reverence Me as your Creator and Sustainer. You may choose to serve Me -- cooperate with Me in making and keeping a universe of love or you may choose to rebel and let self seek to rule... " God has allowed sin to come into His universe for there are those who seek to exalt self and seek to be ruler, instead of God -- these reject love for their Creator and seek rebellion.? (DA 112)

With infinite mercy God has born long with a rebellious world. He provided a way back to Him through Jesus's death on Calvary. Sin causes separation from God. Life comes only from God. When one is separated from God he dies -- spiritual death occurs that leads to eternal death. Jesus took our sins and they separated Him from life -- and He died. Jesus did not sin personally, He was the second Adam. "God so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son." (after He was born to go to Calvary) Adam was created, chose to sin. He willfully disobeyed God. Disobedience is sin and sin causes death. Because of the death of the lamb which pointed to the death of Jesus, the first Adam was able to continue living (as has the human race since Adam). Adam had a clean slate and then he chose his own way. Jesus was "That Holy Thing" born of Mary. He was born with a clean slate, yet He inherited the weaknesses caused by sin through Mary. He was born as a human and died as a human.   As human, He was tempted in every point and overcame on every point. He is able to help us overcome. All we need to do is ask Him and follow His instructions.? (PP 63, 64; GC 544)

??? Jesus chose to come to earth, take our humanity and He chose not to sin. Through His prayer life He was given strength from God to stay clean. He chose to take humanities sin upon Himself. The awfulness of sin broke His pure heart and He died the second death -- The death that sinners will die where there will be no resurrection. Jesus was resurrected for He personally had not sinned -- the grave could not hold the humanity of Jesus. He came forth from the grave a conqueror. He gives this victory to all who accept His death for themselves personally. I am the sinner, I accept Jesus? death (and life) in my stead. He had the sinless life to give to me and He has died in my place so I can have life more abundant here and eternal life also.? (DA 753, 761)

??? God is love and as LOVE He gets angry about sin. God is love and as LOVE He must cleanse the universe of evil. His wrath will be shown in the destruction of the wicked. God is love and in LOVE He vindicates His right to be God -- man has chosen death by rebelling against his Creator. God is love and LOVE is not arbitrary -- love does not force obedience. In LOVE the disobedient are destroyed. (DA 210, 211, 57, 58)

???? We should never say or feel God has no wrath, no anger, no vengeance. He does for He hates sin. We need to understand how His wrath is channeled. In the references listed we can understand God's wrath or rejection of a situation is displayed by letting "evil play its game" without interrupting the action of those involved. His protection is withdrawn and the wicked suffer the consequences of their actions. (Psalms 78, 145, 37, 91)

???? Let us realize God's love is more powerful than His wrath. God's love empowers us to live the Christlike life in love for God and our fellowman. God's love doesn't take the sinful? into heaven where their life would be miserable, but gives them the death they have chosen. God's love is extremely merciful to the godly as well as the wicked. Because of Calvary none receive the full indignation (hate) of God against sin and it's destructiveness. God's love and mercy is extended even to the destruction of the wicked. The Bible says this is without mercy -- God doesn't pull them out of the cleansing fire. He lets them die (second death) ASAP.? (More about this later.) (DA 57; GC 670, 504, 673; Luke 12:46-48; Romans 2:5 - 8).

MY LIFE TODAY

Today, Father, I ask You for love so I will meet this day with Your love in my Heart.  The greatest soul hunger in the world is for love. I need God's deep abiding, peaceful love for everyone I meet today. This love is a Divine, eternal principle which I will cultivate as though I was cultivating a beautiful flower garden. I will let self be submerged in Christ and study His life to learn of His self-sacrificing love. I will seek to understand the principle of love by a daily reading of? 1 Corinthians 13 -- the love chapter of the Bible. As I learn of love and let it seep into my subconscious mind, it's principle will begin expressing itself in sincere love for everyone I meet and my life will be a greater blessing to others. As these blessings go out from my heart to others, they will return to me good measure, pressed down and running over.

Today, I ask God for love so I will meet this day with His love in my heart.  In the past I have expressed love for selfish reasons and became upset and all out of sorts because the result was not satisfying. Today, I will seek to speak and act tenderness and compassion to my family and out in the market place where I will meet all types of people. I choose to be kind, courteous and understanding to all whom it will be my pleasure to be in association with today. They may have had it rough and have become tough and hardened, but I will meet them with love in my heart. As I meet them in silence and to myself? I will address each one and say I love you. Though spoken in silence these words will shine in my eyes, unwrinkled my brow, bring a smile to my lips and echo in my voice, because it comes from the depths of my heart. Their heart will be open and very few will be able to say no to a love that has reached their need. I will say a prayer for them and seek to benefit them with my service.

Today, I ask God for love so I will meet this day with His love in my heart.   Today, I will no longer hate the rain, cold or heat. I will greet my surroundings with a deeper understanding of myself and accept those things I cannot change and seek to change those things I can. I will ask God to give me wisdom to know the difference and for grace to change me. I will recognize that love is not an emotion, or impulse, but an abiding principle, a permanent power. True love is a decision. I choose to love not for self, but for God's sake and for the sake of others, as well as for my good. Love is unsuspecting -- always placing the most favorable construction upon the motives and acts of others. I choose to accept others with love, patience and longsuffering. Only God's love can heal and I ask that His love might flow through me like the sap of a tree or blood in the body so I can be used by Him to restore the wounded soul and bring peace to troubled minds.

Today,  I ask ?Gdo for love so I will meet this day with His love in my heart.  I will no longer allow little disturbances get to me. Should I meet one who is undind I will let my love for them smooth the way for our next meeting.  I will pick the flowers and not the biers.  I will look for good in all people and all situations.  I will accept the good and give sincere compliments.  I will send notes of appreciation to the ones who need as well as deserve that extra amount of attention.  True love in my heart will manifest itself in unselfish benevolence to all whome I come in contact.  I choose to seek the good because I know this will benfit them and give them a higher quality of life.  My love for others will not prompt them to seek their own ease or indulgence of self, but to follow after the things that make for peace without sacrificeing principle.  True brotherhood is never obtained by compromising principle.  My love will encourage human dignity and growth.

Today, I ask God for love so I will meet this day with His love in my heart.  Every soul is surrounded by an atmosphere of its own.  It may be charged with the life-giving power of faith, courage and hope and sweet with the fragrance of God's love,  or it may may be heavy and chill with the gloom of discontent and selfishness or poisonous with the deadly tent of cherished sin.  By the atmosphere surrounding us, every person with whom we come in contact is consciously or unconsciously affected.  I ask God for the golden chain of love to bind my heart to His so I will be faithful in all I do.  No strife or division is to enter my relationships.  I will watch my words and actions so I will always do unto others as I would have them do unto me.  I will let god's love constrain me to go about doing good and in time I will reap the rewards of a job well done.
Today, I ask God for love so I will meet this day with His love in my heart.

((Suggestions for benefiting best from above:  Read two or more times each day the first two weeks. Read one, two or more times each day the next two weeks, and read often after this. Do not hound yourself should you catch
yourself missing the mark. Forgive yourself and let God do His thing in your life. By beholding we become changed. Behold God's love and you will become more and more responding in His love.  May God bless your efforts
